Short Description
The purpose of the grant is for the Cook County Health & Hospital Systems (CCHHS) to partner with the Illinois Department of Public Health to develop an awareness initiative to promote Parenting Program® (Triple P) interventions and positive parenting strategies throughout Positive the CCHHS and communities in Cook County.

The grant will provide $17,000 to implement strategies between August 1, 2017 and July 31, 2018. Applicant must submit a project plan that describes how the award will be executed. The project plan should include necessary detail to enable the agency to manage the grant agreement activity against planned project performance.

Objectives and Goals
Grantee and subcontractor processes and methods should be designed to achieve the following objectives: 1) expand Triple P strategies in Cook County and 2) implement a multimedia public awareness campaign about Triple P targeted at all families with children throughout Cook County, 3) increase awareness of positive parenting strategies and resources, and 4) increase awareness of the connection between positive parenting and violence prevention.

All grant funds must be used for the sole purposes set forth in the grant proposal and application and must be used in compliance with all applicable laws.

Grant funds may not be used as matching funds for any other grant program. Use of grant funds for prohibited purposes may result in loss of grant award and/or place the grantee at risk for recouping of those funds used for the prohibited purpose.

Post Assistance Requirements
