Objectives and Goals
IACTE is to partner with a community of educators to provide current topics such as Credentials, Common Technical Core, Illinois Learning Standards (Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards) and also look into the future to see what professional development will be needed for their CTE membership.

Uses and Restrictions
Grant funding may be used for the improvement of instructional services such as activities assisting instructional staff in planning, developing, and evaluating the instructional process to carry out the intent of the grant. Funding cannot be used for incentives of non-educational value, capital improvements, administrative costs beyond indirect costs, and dues to organizations, federations, or societies. Funding may be used to provide professional development to teachers, counselors, and administrators on implementing career and technical priorities within the college and career area, programs of study, work-based learning experience, and high school reform.

Institutions of Higher Education that receive a state award or federal pass-through award for a grant program administered by the Illinois State Board of Education will be restricted to a maximum indirect rate of 8% or other indirect cost rate calculated by their cognizant federal agency, whichever is less, pursuant to an exception to the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and GATA approved by the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget.

This program is subject to federal non-supplanting requirements and grantees must use a restricted indirect cost rate that is referenced under 34 CFR 75.564-75.569, pursuant to federal regulations and an exception to the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and GATA approved by the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget.
